We’ve acquired the Inspecvision 220.35 inspection system with Surfscan, which extends our ability to scan parts that have 3D features. Parts are placed on a backlit glass surface. With a single click, over 40 million edge measurements are taken in 0.1 seconds using a high-resolution camera. The added SurfScan device is a high-resolution projector that shines structured light onto the part, which is then imaged by the high-resolution camera to create a 3D scan of the formed surface features of the part. The Inspecvision system is the world’s fastest 2D inspection system and accurate to within 12 microns.
